COURT CASES

At yesterday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. Eiddell, S.M.. Richard Dunn, Francis Adair, and Win. Wallace admitted charges of having been drunk, and of having broken their prohibition orders. On the charges oi drunkenness they were convicted and discharged. For 'having broken the pro hibition orders, Dunn and Adair were each^ fined £4, in default twenty-ono days' and one month's imprisonment respectively, ivinle Wallace wan ordered to pay £3, the alterantivc boing fixed at fourteen days' imprisonment. Addir was also lined £4, or in default twenty-one da^s' imprisonment, for having used obscene language on the Queen's Wharf yesterday. , For disorderly conduct while drunk, licgiuald Clai-k was tiued 20s, in default Boveu days' imprisonment. Fot- drunkenness, James Irvine and James llannigau were each fined 20s. with the option of three days' imprisonment, while Joseph Murphy, for a similar offence, v.-£us fined 40&, in default seven days' imprisonment, if addition to which he was made the subject of a prohibition order for a currency ol one year.
