LODGE MEETINGS
The quarterly meeting of St. Mary's (ladies') Branch, No. 3, of the H.A.C.B. Society, was held in St. Patrick's Hall on Monday evening. Them was a very large attendance of members, over which Sis. D. M'Grath, vice-president, presided, in the unavoidable absence of the president (Sis. F. O'Flaherty). Amongst the visitors were the Rev. Father Yenning (chaplain),, the Rev. Father J. Herring, and Messrs. J. W.X'allaghan. and W., J. Feeney (trustees). Splendid reports were j received in reference to the late "social," which was a great success, ' over 200 being present. Keen interest was taken in the,. nomination of officers, several members, being proposed for most of the i offices. The elections will take place at the next meeting, and should prove very interesting. One member was proposed and one initiated during the evening, j The , weekly session of tho Pioneer Ledge, X.0.G.T., No. 11, was held in Beehabiie Hall, Manners-street, on Monday evening, Bro. Atkinson, C.T., presiding ■over a large nmnbor .of members <uid visitors. One candidate was initiated. Bro. Milan, 3ecr«tary of Side t-f Wcrk Committee, gave a satisfactory ?>rogrosß report. During the evening 'the' prizes won at last week's session were presented to Bro. Thomson and Sis. Cochrano. Tha item of tho programme bcinsj "msteis' night," Si*. Milan .occupied Abe, chair for th» remainder of.tha evening.
