INDER CASE
AUCKLAND, 26th June.' The case Inder v. Inder, in which Leah Lillian Inder sought to recover from her husband, WilHaniT?. Inder, of Gore, £102 alleged to be due under an agreement by which defendant covenanted to pay plaintiff £3 a week, was continued before Mr. Kettle, S.M., this inoraing. Further evidence was given by a previous female witness under crofs-exam-ination by the Magistrate as to the innocence of plaintiff's relations with men named Stoddart and Wilson, whom she said she knew as bookmakers, and whose business with her and Mrs. Inder was purely related to a racehorse named Silken Rein, in whom -witness was interested. Witness's evidence was in part' contradicted ' by Wilson, who was .resworn. Mr. Denniston explained that Stoddart, who was in Chrietchurch, had forwarded a letter stating he would give evidence there, but was unwilling to como up to Auckland. Mr. Singer applied for a nonsuit, and Mr. Denniston asked for costs. Mr. Kettle said Mr. Singer was wise. The nonsuit was accordingly entered, with costs against plaintiff, the question of costs to be adjusted in Chambers in the event of a dispute.
