Parishioners of the Lower Hutt Catholic Church gathered in large numbers last evening to- make a presentation to the Very Rev. Dean Lane, to mark hie recent promotion to the Deanery. The presentation, which took the form of a handsome roller-top desk and chair, was made by Mr. E. P. Bunny. Mayor, who spoke of Dean Lane's long and honourable cpagsction with the fiansh.
