THE NORDON CUP. , [BY TELEGBAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON, 12th June. Wairarapa played a challenge hockey game -for the Nordon Cup to-day, defeating Manawatu (the holders) by three, goals to two, after a very keen game. The visitors had the best of the first spell, and the home team of the second, in which they attacked persistently, but missed goals, through bad shooting. Cramp scored early for Manawatu, but the iiaxt two goals were got by Tunnecliffe for Wairarapa. Early in the second fapril Pitt equalised for Manawatu, but Dixon speedily put on the winning goal for Wairarapa. Manawatu attacked persistently with, fast play, but the defence was too good, and the cup changed hands, after one of the best games ever teen here.
