LODGE MEETINGS
The roneke Lodge, Petone, held its half-yearly meeting this weak. Six farothen declared on the sick fund, and their sick pay was passed for payment. A i report wa3 received from tha delegates ' of the combined friendly societies' "social," held last Friday evening. The election of officers for the coming term resulted as follows: — J.P.A., Bro. Hart; A.D., Bro. Town.«end ; V.A., Bro. Richardson; Sec. Bro. Wynyard; Treas., Bro. Davis; M.S.. Bro. Brownhill ; 1.G., Bro. Delissa ; O.G-, Bro. Savage ; V.A.B.'s, Bros. Cairns and Mackeridge; A.D.8.% Bros. Woolford mid Jowett. P.D.P. Bro. Cunliffe wp3 thanked for acting as M.C., and tho D.P., Bro. Donaldson, for acting as installing officer. Visitors were present from the Star of New Zealand Lodge and Hearts of Oak (Sydney) Lodge. The receipts for the evening were £30.
The Upper Hutt Town Board rate this year remains the same — namely, Id in the pound with a separate sanitary rate of 20d on each rateable property. A tumid meeting of thu board will be held en 21ct June to contiriy this.
