INJURIES RESULT FATALLY

On the morning of 21sfc May a young man named Thomas Campbell Edwards' was assisting to repair the electric lift in the Public Trust Building when he met with an accident which resulted in such a serious injury that ho died in the Hospital last night. It is stated that in order to test the machine he called out to an assistant to turn on the power, but neglected to remove an iron handle which he had temporarily fixed on a spindle. Th» handle revolved rapidly and struck Edwards a terrific blow on the leg. After bis admission to the Hospital he developed pleurisy, and this and the shock caused his death. Edwards was 20 years of age, the Bon of Mr. James Edwards, a farmer in* the Hamilton district, and had been in the service of Messrs. Turnbull and Jones, Ltd., electricians, for over three years. The coroner has decided that an inquesb will not be necessary.
