TALISMAN CONSOLIDATED. The report for tho fortnight ending 20th April, 1912, states that at No. 12 loved, No. 9 crosscut is along 273 ft. The values from Btopes off No. 12 winze average £3 12s ',d. No. 13 level : No. 3 crosscut— Tha north drive off crosscut has been extended 39ft, total 59ft. width of reef 12in. values low. No. 16 wiuzo is sunk 23ft, total 52ft, reef wider than workings, values average £2 17s Id. Tho values from sfcopes off No. 12 rise average £8 6s 3d, from Btopes off No. 15 rise average £1 18s lud. No 14 level: The north drive is along 398 ft, width of vein 12in, values low, No. 2 rise was stnrted 175 ft north of No. 6 winze, progress 22ft, width of reef 36in, values ayerago £6 4s sd. No. 12 winze: The south drive off the winze has been advanced 13ft, total 98tt, width of roet 42in, valuos average £2 3s 2d. The north drive has been extended 23ft, total 81ft. From 58ft to 72ft, tho width of rcet is 15in. From 72ffc to 81ft, the values average £6 18s 3d for a width of 30in. A leading Btope is being driven southward from No. 8. rise. The values from same average £5 13s 7d. Tho Woodstock shaft has been sunk 10ft, total 310 ft. I GRAND JUNCTION. Tke report of the work done for tho four-weekly period ending 20th April, 1912, states: At the bottom of tho No. 3 shaft the mud cavity was 57ft, down below which the shaft is in good firm ground. Sinking has proceeded for 74ft; total depth 124 ft. No. 4 level, Martha lode, intermediate drive from No. 8 winzo . The east drive is along 40ft, produced 42 tons of ore for width of 56in, worth £2 3s 6d. Tho west drive is along 34ft; tho reef became narrow and low grade at both ends, and driving was stopped. At No. 6 level the Empiro lode, No. 8 winze, is in low grade quartz, 48in wide. No. 6 loYel, north-we«t crosscut, Mary lodo: Rise No. 2 started at 430 ft in the northwest crosscut, and is up b7ft through country rock and stringers of no value. Martha lode (135 ft in aorth-west crosscut): The east drive is in low grade quartz, the walls of the lode not being exposed. The south-east crosscut was driven 176 ft, and produced 69 tons of ore. Tho total dis* tance from the shaft is now 876 ft. At 704 ft the Royal lode was intersected, and showed 12ft of qUartz, averaging £3 3s 7d. From 716 ft to 834 ft is country rook, and at 834 ft tho George lode was cut and averaged £2 0s 6d for a width of 6ift. From 841 ft to 876 ft tho crosscut traversod oountry rock. Empiro lode (main): The west drive is along 330 ft. The footwall is exposed. 105 tons of ore were produced from a width of 68in, value £1 9* 2d. From 310 ft to 330£t tho oro is low grade. At 290 ft webt «, crosscut was driven, and exposed both wails, showing tho reef to be 15ft wide, and low grade. From 130 to 190 ft west the drive was widened and heightened to receive timbering for stoning The average width broken was 13ft, und 360 tons of ore were produced, averaging £1 13b lOd. In preparing for stopmg botween 60ft and 155 ft east of crosscut, the average width broken was ilsin, and 854 tons were produced of an average value of £1 13s. The Empirelode footwall leader west drive, averaged 108 in wide and £7 17s per ton. The rise at 115 ft wo6t of the southeast crosscut, is up 42ft. A width of 43in produced 31 tons of ore averaging £6 18b lOd. Only the south wall is exposed in the rise, and the reef has a slight dip to the south, OLD HAURAKI. The manager telegraphed on Monday afternoon: "201b picked stone from No. 3 block at the 300 ft level." In his weekly report the manager states that at the 30uffc level, No. 3 block, two rises and three stopes are in progress, and also that 101b of piolced etone had been obtained.
