Silva, a Cingalese, was executed today for the murder of Mrs. Agnes Ching and her five children on 20th November. The steamer Eden has returned from a fruitless search for the dredge Manchester. She sighted on the Middleton Reef the wreck of the barque Annasona, lost there sir years ago, and another, painted white. This ifi believed to be the schooner Whangaroa. The/masts were gone, but the wheel was standing. Apparently th© vessel had been carried over tho reef into the lagoon,
