HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
o -- - To-day's meeting of tho Hutt County Council was attended by Messrs. J. Wakeham (chairman), W. Galloway, T. Edwards, M./W. Welch, J. Whiteman, W. J. Howell. ' The inspector of works (Mr. J- W. Cudby) reported that material for lighting the foreshore at Day's Bay had been ordered, and tho poles were now on the- site. Tho aasistant-engineor for Public Workß accompanied tho inspector for a couple of days on a tour of inspection of two of tho completed grant works (Whiteman's Yallcy and Hutt-Waikanae-roads), and approved tho works as finished. Tho various yrant in aid works were . progressing satisfactorily. The report was adopted.
