Suzonoff, in his maiden speech ill the Duma as Minister for Foreign Affairs, cordially affirmed the alliance with Franco and the entente with Britain and Germany. He eulogised the effect of the Anglo-Russian agreement regarding Persia. Referring to the United States he declared <liat Russia would not tolerate interference with her internal affairs.
