MODEL SUBURB PROPOSAL.
AUCKLAND. 28th Auiil. The Hon. A. M. Myers has been asked by the Mayor if the Government will renew the promise made by Sir Joseph Waid last year to facilitate the passage of the Bill to be promoted by the City Council to secure power to acquire the Orakei Native Estate for a model suburb. The Minister expressed hi* approval of the proposal, and promised to submit the matter to Cabinet.
