CITY FIRE BRIGADE.
It has been officially reported to tho City Council that Superintendent O'Brien, of the Wellington Fire Brigade, has been a-b&eul fiom the station since Friday morning without leave. The deputy-superintendent, Mr. Talt, has taken charge temporarily of the brigade. A meeting of the council is being , held this afternoon to consider the position.
