JBT IELEGBAPH— A'BESS AS3OCIATION.] HASTINGS, This Day. Training this morning was done on the grass track, which was very hea,vy. Times were taken from -the plough mark, which is slightly over tho distance named.' The only gallops of importance were as follows : San Pluie, six furlongs, lmin 20sec. Theodore took half a second less for the same distance. Manitau did six furlongs in. lmin 20 2-ssec, and Stellaric, with Thrave, covered five furlongs in lmin s>isec. Midnight Sun, Axiom, and Te Puia. finished in that order over one and a quarter mile in 2min 19eec. Merxie Lad easily beat Lamedorff once round over the fences.
