PLEASANT SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

The public opening of session 1912 of the Wellington City Men's Brotherhood next Sunday will take the form of a pleasant Sunday afternoon in aid of the English Distress Fund. The meeting will be held in The New Theatre, Man-ners-stree.t, which, has been placed at the disposal of the Brotherhood for the purpoee by Messrs. M'Mahon and Donnelly. A musical programme will be submitted, .the soloists being Miss Ena, Ward, and Mr. H. Phipps, the latter of whom will sing "The Son of God Goes Forth to "Wai-/' and "The Toilers." The Central Mission Band Gke, Party will also ccn- " tribute an item. The president, Rev. E. O. , Blamiree, "will give tho inaugural ■addrees on the- subject "Brotherhood and Social questions."
