"FANTASTIC AND UNWORKABLE."
SIB E. CARSON'S VIEWS. The Prims Minister was folowed by Si* E. H. Carson, who said that, the Government's scheme was fantastic and unworkable. "It v is ridiculous," he eaid, "to talk about devolution all round. The hypcrisy of the Bill is irresistible. It places weapons in the hands of the Nationalists if they should demand separation, and deprives Ulster of the protection of the Executive which k responsible to the British. Parliament. The Government introduces this Bill when the Constitution is itt suspense, and while the lying preamble to the Parliament Act- is still in abeyance. The whole affair is a disreputable bargain between the Government and th« Nationalists. Not one of the guarantees is worth the paper on which it is written. Ulater will oppose the Bill at every •stage."
