AN ONWARD MOVE. Quietly, but steadily the new His torical Association is pushing on v:ilh its purpose ol inducing the community to havb a car© for Old Wellington and Old New Zealand. At a meeting of the committee this week it was decided to consult with the City Council about the use of th« Jubilee Fund, and it is anticipated that a satisfactory basis of co-uperalion will be effected. * The committee also _appioved a suggestion by the Hen. J. ti. Jenkiusou that a, deputation should fcubmit to tho Hon. G. W. lluss-41, Miiiibter of Internal Affairs, a request that piovision should bo made in tho plans of tho National Museum, for documents, records, and other materials connected with the early history of Wellington and New Zealand. As an envoy yesterday Mr. Jenkinson received a sympathetic healing from Mr. Russell, who agreed to b» interviewed next Monday afternoon.
