At 9 a.m. the following forecast was issued for the subsequent 24 hours : — Winds.— Easterly winds, moderate to strong, northward of Kawhia and East Cape; easterly breezes thence to Farewell Spit and Custlepoint; moderate northerly wind* elsewhere. Barometer.— Falling tendency. Sea.— Rough northward of Great Barrier; generally moderate elsewhere. Tides.— Good generally. Weather. — Continuance of fair weather generally, hazy aud cloudy at times iv tho northern, and fcoutuum districts. D. C. BATES.
