Hawkes Bay and Auckland, closing at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearance of the city and suburban receivers, but the night clearance will bo made as usual. There will be no deliveries by letter-carriers, but on the previous evening and Saturday evening there will be a delivery over the counter at the Cliief Post Office hetwee'n 8.30 and 9.80 p.m., only for correspondence addressed to the Post Office; and at the old Driltehed, Maglnnitystreet, between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m., for correspondence which is delivered by lettercarrier. On Thursday the pur eel b delivery counter at old Drillsbed will be open from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. On Good Friday mails are not expected to arrive from outside the Dominion. On Saturday, Oth met., letter-eaxriers will make two full deliveries, closing at the Chief Post Office at 7.40 a.m. and 1.40 p.m. On Master Monday the Post Office will be open in all its branches (except tbe Moneyorder Department) from 9 to 10 "a.m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close at 8 a.m. The only despatches by trains will be tor the Wairaiapa, Manawatu, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts, closing at 0.30 a~m., and for Hawkes Bay and Auckland, elo&iog at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearances of ithe city and suburban receivers, and no deliveries by letter-carriers. < Mails for Rarotouga and Tahiti, per Talune, clot* at Auckland, Tuesday, 9th inst., at 10.45 oon. Honolulu, and Vancouver, close at Auckland, per Marama, Friday, 12th iusL, at 1.30 p.m. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted - half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. ° Money orders for abroad must be obtained two hours before the advertised time of closing mails. Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages inuit be handed in and money orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mall closes. Ail the principal mails by tram and steamer close at Te Aro and Courtenay-place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, witti the exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the Ferry steamers for Southern Offices close at 6 p.m. D MILLER, Chief Postmaster.
