Since passing through the first band of quartz, which showed a width of 12ft (of which 10ft assayed £3 12s per ton), the south-eabt croascut to intercept the Royal reef at the sixth level in the Grand Junction mine has been in country rock, with country rook showing in the face. It is tho intention ot tho directors to makes v special ibt>ue of shares, and proceed with tho intermediate tunnel between the Nos 3 and 4 levels, tho present prospects warranting this necewary work being vow no longer delayed.
