MEETING OF CONCILIATION COMMITTEE. By Telegraph.— Press Association,— Copyright, SYDNEY, Ist April. The Newcastle Conciliation Committee met again to-day in ordor to further discuss the afternoon shift question. The chairman announced that a constitutional feature was that there must be no stoppages while the committee waß satting. As the Abermain colliery was idle, due to a dispute over top coal, tlie committee adjourned until to-morrow. AFTERNOON SHIFT. MEN AT ABERDTRE AND ABERDARE EXTENSION. TROUBLE ANTICIPATED. (Received April 2, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Tho Aberdare and Aberdare Extended mines, which acceded to the men's r&qest to abolish the afternoon shift, hay» ( given four hundred men a fortnight's notice that they will not be required. The men are showing dissatisfaction, and trouble k anticipated.
