MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presided at to-day's sittings of the Magistrate's Court. For using obscene language, William Egau was fined £3. Elizabeth Buokmaster, charged with drunkenness and a breach of a prohibition order, was convicted and discharged on the first count and fined £2 on the Bocond. John Thompson was fined £1 for being drunk while in charge of a horse and cart. Mt. William Light, J.P., presided at the Mount Cook Police Court this morning and fined William Sparks and John Sandford 5s each. The alternative was fixed at twenty-four hours' imprisonment. One first-offender was convicted and discharged, for drunkenness.
Messrs. A. L. Wilson ami Co. will hold a sale of household furniture, including Haake piano, to-morrow, at their rooms, 26, Brandon-street. The Bale commences at 1.30 p.m
