At a meeting of the Pa tea Harbour Board yesterday, the evidence of the preliminary enquiry by i.he Marine Departmenfc into the mishap to the steamer Kapuni a, few weeks ago was considered in committee. The following finding was reported: — "The committee, having considered the evidence, are of opinion that there is no blame attached to the pilot, the port, or the board in connection with the striking of the vessel on tha eastern breakwater." A magisterial enquiry will not be held.
