NORWOODS AND YON ARK.

The box plans for the season 'of the Norwoods and Yon Arx combined shows will open at the Dresden to-morrow evening. The season will commence at the Opera Ilouso on Easter Saturday. The New Zealand Herald, Auckland, bays, in speaking of tho Norwoods : — "For the past two days a shop window in Queen-street has been occupied by a man who was placed in an hypnotic sleep on Tuesday night by Professor Norwood. Last night the man was removed to tho Town Hall and awakened from his sleep. The ta6k was apparently not an easy one, for beads of perspiration stood on the professor's forehead as a result of his exertions. When the subject did awake he was remarkably lively, and it took the combined efforts of four men lo keep him in hand." In a subsequent issue, the same paper says : "Profossof Norwood, hypnotist, continues lub successful season. Yesterday he exhibited a new test. A young lady, Miss Pauline Ford, _ was placed in the hypnotic condition in a shop window % in, Queenstreet, and commenced to ' play tne piano. She continued all the afternoon and throughout the earlier part of the evening, great crowds watching her all the time. With her eyes shut, as if eho were fast asleep, she played on, changing from piece to piece, apparently without an effort. Sho was removed to the Town Hall, and eight hours after she started playing she was awakened by Professor Norwood. The feat wae not one of endurance, but was merely an exhibition of what may be done by a person in tho hypnotic state." The pastime of roller-skating attracts large crowds at the Kilbirnie Beach Skating Rink. A special attraction is eet down for Wednesday evening, in the shape of musical squares for couples.
