MANAWATU GOLF CLUB.
[BY TBLEGJJAPH— SPECIAL TO THE POST.] PALMERSTON *N., This Day. . The annual meeting of the Mana> wtttu Golf Club was held yesterday, when the~ annual report and balancesheet, showing a satisfactory condition of finances, were adopted. Officers elected were : — President, Mr. H. 0. Moore; vice-president, Mr. R. S. Abraham ; hon. secretary, Mr.i L. A. Abraham; hon. treasurer, Mr. Lockhart, Fitzherbert ; committee, Messrs. Watson, Harman, and Conen ; captain, Mr. Walter Strang ; trustee, Mr. H. R. Cooper. Mr. 5. Wharden, who has been transferred to Wanganui, was elected an honorary life member, in recognition of his berviccs as hon. treasurer. It was decided to engage Mr. .M'Ew'un as professional for one month. It was also decided that the committee consider the advisability of regarding the club and ulteiing the ladder competition.
