ANOTHER MINING TROUBLE THIS TIME IN THE UNITED STATES. MINES LIKELY TO CLOSE DOWN. By Telegraph.— fress Association.— Copyright. (Received March 30, 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, 29th March. It ifi reported from Cleveland that un1«66 the coalminers and operators agree, the closing down of works, involving half a million men, has been arranged for Monday next, the day on which the miners' agreement will expire. The men refuse to resume at the old scale of wages. If a shut-down occurs the men will lose a million dollars (£200,000) daily in wages. The prospects for a settlement of the dispute are poor.
