ACCOUNTANCY.

Three short papers were read before the Wellington Branch of the Now Zealand Society of Accountants last night. The papers were as follow *. — Gerald Fitzgerald, F.P.A., "Trustees and Mortgages" ; Mr. J. C. Port, F.R.A., "Consignments" ; Mr. A. W- Sexton, F.R.A., "Computations of Instalment with Interest." The lectures were followed by a short discussion. Mr. R. Wilberfoss, chairman of the branch, occupied the chair. About forty members wer© present. On the motion of Mr. Kellow, the thanks of the society "were extended to the lecturer*.
