LOCAL AND GENERAL, The events of tho recent- team strike will be revived in the Court to-morrow, when tho ca6e brought by the Labour Department against the Union will bo heard. It ie not anticipated that the case will be a lengthy one. The members of the Japanese expedition to the Antarctic are. otill in port. Lieutenant Shiroso, accompanied by three other members of the expedition* will leave for Sydney by the Union boat on. Friday, and proceed thence to Japan. The lvainaii Mam will, it i* expected, 6ail for Tokio either on Friday or Saturday with tlie other member** of theparty. Meantime the ship is being reprovisioned for the journey to Japan. The boouing for tho Union Company's Easter excursion in tho Mokoia to tho Marlborough Sounds hus not been as good as was anticipated, and the number of intending passengers is not sufficient to warrant the trip boing made.
