SWIMMING.

A meeting of tho committee of the Worser Bay Swimming and Life-saving Club wan held in the olubhouse on Tuesday. It was decided to close the season on Saturday afternoon next with' the following series of racee, to be held at Worser Bay:— soyds boys under 12, 50yds ladies race, final distance Walker and Hall cup (100 yds, junior), final distance of the Brodie cup (150 yds, sonior), and a 50yds interolub race. The first to commence at 2.30 p.m. During the afternoon an exhibition of life-saving* with the reel will be given by members of the Lyall Bay Surf Club. Afternoon tea will be provided by the lady members of the- club. The seoond and third distances for the Atkins Cup were decided at Te Aro Baths during the week by the members of the. Ladies' Branch of the Swifts Club. Results wore as follow: — 75yds: Miss F. Hicks, Bseo, 1; Miss'O. Arthur, scr, 2; Miss H. Murrell, 3sec, 3. Time, 69 2-ssec. 100 yds: Miss H. Murrell, 6seo, 1; Miss O. Arthur, scr, 2; Miss D. Webb, IBseo, 3. Time, lmin 40 2-sgeo. The points scoured by the competitors in the series of raoes wore : Miss Arthur 9, Miss D. Webb 6, Miss H. Murrell 6, Miss F. Hicks 5, Miss O. Smith 1. The races were open only to senior members of the Swifts Ladies' Branch. Tho Te Aro Baths last evening were the scone of a race between Mulhns and Healy for second place in tho Old Boys' 50ydB inter-club championship. The first race last Saturday resulted in a dead heat for second place between Mullins and Healy. Last evening Mullins won easily. In v water polo match in the same baths lafet evening- Wellington defeated Swifts by 4 goals to nil. Stratford scored all the goals. SCHOOLBOYS' CHAMPIONSHIP. The Bwifts Club decided the final distances for the schoolboys' "championship at Te Aro Baths on Monday. Results— 25 yards: -A. M'Carlio, 1; P. R. Mowat,2j F. Cox, 3. Tinu>, 14bee. 75 yards lA.
