STAR THEATRE.

An entirely now programme is to bo presented^ at the Star Theatre, Newtown, this evening. American Wild West life contributes several thrilling pictured episodes, among which may be mentioned the "Yaqui Girl", and '"The Half-breed's Daughter." A military subject in the 23rd Dragoons of the French Army. It is conspicuous for the horses which are introduced into the picture. "The Innocent Burglar" and ''The Conscientipua Musician" are sterling comedy subjects in the new bill. SHORTT'S THEATRE. Admirers of Dickens, who have not soon (and but few have) the houses and places which he has immortalised in his works, will be interested in the pictures now showing at Shortt's Theatre in Wil-lis-street. The great novelist is impersonated as coming out of Gad's Hill House and waiting in tho garden. Next various characters which he creates are seen in places which Dickens so minutely described. Among them the Old Curiosity Shop. This evening "Rome in th« Time of Nero" will be shown for the first time. It is a great work in colour, by Pathe Freres, and is exquisitely mounted. The Western drama, "Mountain Law," will also be shown at Shortt's. It is a thrilling picture of ite kind. The annual concert of the Brooklyn Glee Club, in aid of the funds of tho Brooklyn State School, is to be given to-morrow evening in Fullford's Hall. The programme comprises some attractive items, and those attending ai'S promised an enjoyable evening.
