James Gibbons, who aeeaulted Elizabeth M'Kenzie at Sydenham on 18th December with a razor, inflicting dangerous wounds, was convicted at the Supreme Court this morning of attempted murder. The excuse was offered that accused was mad with drink, but the Judge said drunkenness was not a disease of the mind. Th'jro wae no doubt prisoner had definite intention, and knew what he wae doing.
