There were two thousand people present at Wigan when the Australasians ecored four goals and four trice against the Northern League team's four tries. Cann played cleverly at ouUside half. M'Cue scored a try early in the game, Franci6 concerting. Francis soon scored twico, and converted both tries, and then the Northerners scored a try. The referee sent Noble off the field early in the second half, but nevertheless Hallett scipred a try, which Francis converted. The Northerners played with fine combination in the concluding stages, and scored three trie 6.
