<*• Tha following cases of drunkenness were dealt with by Mr. M'Artnur, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day: — Hugh M'Dougall, fined 10s ; Wm. Arthur Lines, fined 20s; Robert Hendorson and John Walsh, each fined 40s. Ono first offender was' convicted and_ discharged, and two others forfeited their bail, 10* each. John Kenny, who had beon remanded for curativo treatment, was ordered to pay expenses (17s 6d). Lilian Jukes, charged with having used obscene language, was given a chance. Sho v.-as convicted and discharged. In the Mount Cook Police, Court this morning, the following cuses'wore dealt with by Mr. George Frost,, J.P. : — A fir.st offender for drunkenness was convicted and - discharged; two others did not appear, and were fined 10s each, or fortyeight hours' imprisonment; and a fourth first offender was remanded • for medical treatment ti,ll the Bth inst.
