The New Zealand Woollen Mills bought largely of the finer grades. Generally the wool was heavier in condition than at the previous sales, and this affected prices. Making allowtihce for the differonce in pondition, December prices were well maintained. Best halfbreds fetohed up to 124 d; good, to 10|d; medium, Bid, 9|d ; and crossbred, beet, to 10£ d; medium to 9Ad ; merino, to lid ; best pieces, to 9d ; medium pieces, to 7|d.
