The Labour Conference adopted a re- J solution in favour of the introduction of a Bill providing for a six-hours day, fixing the pay of unskilled labourers at ten shillings a day, limiting the age for employment in the public service to sixtyfive, making nationalisation of the Health Department, limitation oi rente to the working classes, and the eetablibhment of a State Fire and Life Insurance Department planks in the platform of the party. > The- conference also adopted a resolution in favour of reforming, cheapening, and consolidating law procedure. Another resolution was adopted in favour of a minimum living wage of ten shillings for all occupations, with equal pay to women for equal work. (Received January 29, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Labour conference has added abolition of capital punishment to the planks of its platform.
