The annual meeting of the Scottish Society will be held in Godber's Rooms, Cuba-street, on Wednesday evening. The first term of the Hurworth School, Wanganui, wil begin on 2nd February. Mr. John M'Glashan, teacher of the violin, will resume teaching at Room 5, Boulcott Chambers, on Monday. A drapery business is advertised for sale on account of ill-health of tho ovrner. Mr. A. G. Cunningham, Taihape, advertises a hairdressing and tobacconists' business for sale. Tenders are invited by the Hutt County Council for various works. Particulars are advertised. Mr. Raweri P.
