GALLOPS AT EICCAETON. fBX TBLJCQTtAPBt— : fUSR ASSOCIATION^ CHEISTCHTJECH, This Day. At Eiccarton tiis morning the plough was in capital order, and the weather was bright. Countermine beat Sea King over six furlong^ in lmin 16£ sec, finishing well. Orata.va and Mumura ran twelve furlongs in 2min 17£ sec, but were not extended. Colleen Mary did six furlongsin litain 17 2-ssec. Corbniform, suffering from a weak kr-a. ran seven furlongs in lmin 33&ec. ' Kilts beat The* Cornet over six furlongs, in lmin 15 4-ssec. Rose Noble galloped twelve furlongs in 2min 15sec. Marfine 1 j and Sant Eosaleer did a. mile, and a'-half in 2min 43 2-ssec. The former finished in front, but Sant Eosaleer's performance was very satisfactory, and he is evidently in fine condition. Bonny Glen did seven furlongs in lmin 31sec. Miss Advance did the sam* distance smartly in lmin 30 2-ssec. A large number of other horses were given medium to fast pace work. TAKAPUNA SUMMEE MEETING. Results :—: — Maiden Plate, of 100 soys; one mile. — Tiresome, 9.0, lj Invader, 7.10, 2; Firelock, 8.3, 3. Scratched : Marie Eegina and St. Lewis. Tiresome took charge at the straight, and won by a length and a-half. Time, lmin 44 1-5 sec. Zealandia Handicap, of 100 soys,; four furlongc— Red 'Lupin, 7.0, lj Hikuai, 8.6, 2; Lucille, 8.3, 3. Scratched: Mighty Atom, Mahinga, and Solitude. Won by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 51 l-ssec.
