m |BZ MLIBttAUM— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] LAD DROWNED.' . ' DUNEDIN, 26th January. Sydney" Charles Mitchell, aged fifteen years, eldest son of Mr. J. W. Mitchell, j tailor, Balclutha, was drowned to-day while bathing at Kaka Point, on the Port Molyneaux Beach. • The deceased and several other boys were having a bathe when Mitchell got out of his depth. He was soon brought to shore, but too late, strenuous efforts by Dr. Fitzgerald failing to restore animation. The deceased was a bright lad, and had achieved distinction in all oubject* at school. AN INQUEST.' INVERCARGILL, 26th Jan. . At the inquest into the death of Edward Rodgers, who was found dead in bed on Wednesday, the medical evidence was' that death was due to suffocation,' probably caused by -the deceased, who was subject to fits, falling on the bed in a fit, and burying his face in the pillow. . . •
