OLYMPIC GAMES.

NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATION. ■ Mr. A. A. Marryatt presided over the meeting of the New Zealand Olympic Council held last evening. There were present Messrs. A. D. Bayfield, G. S. Hill, F. Wilton, and E. E. Hammond. The chairman said that in his opinion it would be advisable to call upon New Zealand to provide the backbone of the Australasian team. It was a question whether Collins, now at Cambridge, should not be considered in the selection of the rowing crew. It was decided .that the governing bodies of the various athletic associations should be asked to send in nominations. Messrs. E. L. Chaffey, R. W. M'Villy, A. W. Smith, J, H. Pollock,- J. F. Atkins, and G. P. Hanna were chosen to form a committee of ways and means.
