All the ballots of the Miners' Federation members chow overwhelming majorities in favour' of a national strike. < COAL OWNERS' MANIFESTO. LONDON, Uth January. The Northumberland coal-owners, in a manifesto, declare that a fixed minimum wage irrespective of work performed is impracticable, un 4 they are unable tp concede it, believing that payment in proportion to work, done was reasonable. Mr. Enoch Edwards, M.P. (president of the 'Miners' Federation of Great Britain), is hopeful o£ a solution of the depute, and denies the existence of an agreement for a simultaneous strike in Germany.
