LIQUOR IN ASHBURTON.
MAN FINED FOR STORING IT. fBl XXLEOBAPH— PttESS ASSOCIATION.} ASHBTJRTON, This Day. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Thomas Gibson, a confectioner, was fined £10 for storing liquor for another man in a No-license district. This was the first case of the kind' heard in Ashburton. Gibson was also oharged, in conjunction wibh Birniard Kennedy, with keeping liquor for sale, but Mr. Day, S.M., held that there was not sufficient evidence to support the charge and dismissed the information.
