FULLER'S PICTURES.

A high-class programme was sub nutted at the Olympia Skating . Rink, in Vivian-street, last night, by Messrs. Fuller, .the etar film /being "The Siege of Calais," a coloured representation by lathe Freres, a series of historic value aad of thrilling dramatic interest. It pictures, f in a wonderfully realistic manner, with tho aid of magnificent staging.,- the story of the history: siege, when the inhabitants, ol Calais were, "hut up for many months, with Edward in. of. .England fitting at the gates.* One of the finest scenes included that in- which, in accordance with '-Edward's derision, six of the foremost .citizens ol tfl.e garrison delivered themselves up, with halters around their necks and the keys of the city in their hands, to sacri* lice themselves for their, fellow-towns-man. Another* thrilling scenes nhowfed Queen Philippa successfully interceding with Edward on their behalf . i No, fewer than 2500 people took part in this 'not*, able production, one of Pathe i Freres' greatest efforts, which is correct in deJjaii and a* weil acted as it k mounted. There we're many other excellent dramas, inclading "The Cord of Life," "The Satyr and the ' Lady," a story of thoroughly , pathetic interest;' " Voyageurs," a tale Of Canadian backwoods life. There was the usual pleasant and piquant flavouring' of comedy, and "Bill Determines to Go" was a film more than usually humorous. Messrs. Fuller make a specialty of scenic Eictures, and "The Falls of Schwarack-" was an unusually beautiful specimen of -this class of picture. Other good pictures were "Motoring on Ben Nevis" and "The Australian Gazette," the latter of which included several items of local interest.
