BOWLING. TOURNAMENT PLAY.

SECTION WINNERS MEET. The weather continued fine for the Northern Bqwling Association's tournament, which reached the beginning of the end to-day. Twelve rinks had been left in the various sections, and they started playing off on the Wellington green, which was fast to a degree. On various city and suburban greens those teams which had not got into the final stages' started playing for the consolation prizes. The drawings were announced the previous night, but several teams failed to put in an appearance, and the lack of enthusiasm" in this direction somewhat complicated the proceedings and delayed the progress of the games. It was remarked, in this connection, that no team that had won through the sections defaulted — as a bowling critic remarked, "the inference is obvious."
