Tho treaty between Britain and Sweden, which will be modified as above, was signed in> 1654, and John Milton (who was Latin Secretary to Oliver Cromwell) was probably its author. It is written in Latin text. [John Milton, the celebrated English poet, born in 1608, and whose death occurred in 1674, was, after the execution, of Charles T. made Latin Secretary to the new Commonwealth (March, 1649).]
