LAWN TENNIS. WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION.
The Wellington LaWn Tennis Association, in its annual report for the season 1910-11, says in regard to the financial position ! It will be seen from the balance-sheet that the past season has been a very successful one. Notwithstanding the losses on the WellingtonCanterbury and the dance given by thia association, a profit of £40 2s 4d is shown. This' is. no doubt, duo to the increased entries for the inter-club competitions and to the charge made to playeTs for playing on Day s -Bay courts. During the .past season fourteen committee meetings Were held and th© attendances of the members were satisfactory. Messrs. Salmond and Godber resigned from the committee early in the year and Mr. Duflc*n and Dr. Isaacs wero elected to fill the vacancies. Towards the end of the year Mr. Duncan resigned and Mr. Jeffery was elected to the vacancy. Mr. Beere was granted leave of absence from the committee. The committee desires to pla&3 on record its best thanks to the hofrorary auditor, Mr. H. D. Vickery ; to those ladies and gentlemen who kindly assisted at the_ Christmas tournament ; to the association's delegates on the New Zealand Association's Council ; to the association's preeident arid vice-president* ; to the pres? for valuable assistance given at all times ; to the honorary secretaries of affiliated clubs for their courtesies and interest; and to the following gentlemen and firms for generous donations to the association : Messrs. J. Duthie and Co., H. M. Gore, F. F. Grady, E. W. Mill* and Co., 12. Y. Ecdward, Stewart, Dawson and, Co.
