The Tramway Band is to be asked 'its terms for performances at the Recreation Ground. ENGINEER'S REBORT. Tho engineer (Mr. G. W. Brigham) re> ported, intcf alia, that the metalling of tho Main-road was completed. The cost per cubic yard for production of metal einco tho erection or the plant will be given at the next fncijtihg. All excellent faco of good stotio 13" now showing, and tho prospects for" the future were decidedly good. Metalling of a portion of South Kai'ori-i'oad from tho sido of Mr. A. Lower's to tho junction of the Main-road has been effected. Plants for improvement in Wallace-street; are now ready, and tho work is veady to bo gono on with as pooh as tho council proposes. Maintenanco work has been carried on tho Mam and Parkvale roods, Wallace-street, Old Ka-ioti-road, Friend, Duthie, and Joll streets. The borough, engirtd'or- also reported that ho and tho assistant city engi«per had boon carefully ovoi* the boundary of the drainage , area proposed to bo included ''in tho city of Wellington.
