11/ telegraplu-^Preis Association.— Copyright. (Received September 13, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, 12th .September. The Most Rev. Dr.' Alexander, late Anglican Primate of Ireland, is dead. [Dr. Alexander, Archbishop of Armagh atld Primate of Ireland, resigned a short time since. Born in 1824, lie wad educated at Tttnbridge School, and Exeter and _ Brasenose Colleges (Oxford). After service as a curate at DeTty Cathedral, he became rector successively of Termonanuuigan, Upper Fahan, Ca.musJuxta Mourne, and later Dean of Emly. In 1867 he wae consecrated- TJishop of Derry and llaphoe, and in' 1896 wa«s translated to the See o£' Armagh t as Archbishop and Primate. His writings on religious subjects are fltomeroue.]
