RAIN PROBABLE.
Cloudiness overspread the country on Sunday, and the fair weather prevailing on. Saturday has been succeeded by' more mit-ettled conditions generally. Northerly winds, increasing to gale and veering to the vreet, are probable generally. The barometer shows a fall everywhere, end warnings fov northerly and westerly gales are exhibited at various outstanding points of the Island. Unsettled and cloudy weather, with rain ; is probable in moat parts, and a rising of rivers on the West Coast of the South Island is anticipated.
