The wheelers at the Wallsend mm» have declined to accept the minst*' advice to return to work Mid submit thei* grievances to arbitration. ■ The employees' Federation called » meahig of the WftlUend Lodge, at which a ballot was taken on the quw« tion of the miner* doing the wheeling themselves. This they refuged. A ballot of the whole of th© m«m» bers of the fadmtioh on the oubjeck ie now being taken. Should the result be ftg&ihst miners doing the wheeling, the position will become «tvetnsty gray*.
