The Development Commiesionera have allocated £60.000 annually in aid of rural industries by means of agricultural research, including scholarships for tha purpose of increasing the 1 sumber of persons qualified to afford scientific advice to fattners. The Development Cqmmis«ionerß were appointed una&r the Development and Road Improvement Funds Aete, to administer a national fund for the development of agriculture and other economic reeourcee of the United Kingdom. Grants are made by t the Treasury, on the recommendation of the Commissioners, from funds voted annually by Parliament, supplemented by &n annual grant of £500,000 for five jaawi from ihe Consolidated Fund.
